ARA — Our Story
ARA was founded in 2012 on a simple observation: in an increasingly interconnected world, capital moves faster than understanding.
What began as a focused effort to support investors and institutions in navigating cross-border complexity has since evolved into a broader strategic advisory platform operating at the intersection of geopolitics, capital, and enterprise.
ARA—short for Aydin Research & Advisory—is, by design, slightly understated. The name reflects both its origins and its philosophy: rigorous thinking, independent analysis, and a commitment to clarity in environments where certainty is rarely available.
Founded by Fatih Aydin, an Oxford alumnus with a background spanning geopolitical risk, transactional advisory, and entrepreneurship, ARA was built not as a traditional consulting firm, but as a platform for insight and decision support at critical moments.
From early engagements with financial institutions and multinational corporates, ARA’s work expanded organically—driven less by scale and more by trust. Today, the firm collaborates with leading financial institutions, private equity and venture capital firms, family offices, and founders, supporting investment decisions, market entry, and strategic positioning across both developed and emerging markets.
Industry-agnostic and globally oriented, ARA’s perspective is shaped by the belief that no investment decision exists in isolation. Political dynamics, capital flows, and entrepreneurial activity are increasingly intertwined—and understanding their interaction is where real advantage lies.
While the firm has evolved, its core approach remains consistent: combining analytical rigour with commercial judgement, and maintaining independence from both political bias and competing interests.
In an era defined by volatility, fragmentation, and rapid change, ARA exists to provide something increasingly valuable—clarity through complexity.
